Riding Lessons

Slice of Heaven Educational Farm offers riding lessons for children, youth and adults.

Lessons at Slice of Heaven Educational Farm are run according to the United States Pony Club Standards. This technique is based on the ground up system. Students will learn not only how to ride their chosen discipline (English or Western), but how to brush and tack-up, as well as horse anatomy and equipment.  Finally, they learn the groundwork skills needed to bond with the horse. This method teaches accountability and trust throughout their riding time...skills they can take with them wherever they go.

Who teaches the lessons?

Lessons are taught by Alexa.

Returning Riding Instructor at Slice of Heaven Educational Farm,

Horses have been a lifelong passion of mine, and I grew up riding in both Pony Club and 4-H, gaining experience in English and Western disciplines.  While my heart lies in Dressage, I truly enjoy teaching the fundamentals across all riding styles and help riders build a strong foundation.

Beyond the arena, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychological Sciences from Texas Tech University, and I bring that background into my teaching with patience, encouragement, and a understanding of how each child learns best.

How much do lessons costs?

Lessons are only $50 per 1 hour session.
